Arbor Day 1999

In 1997, Leeper's Lawn Service started a tree donation program for a not for profit organization as a way for Leeper's Lawn Service to help beautify the Fort Wayne and surrounding area. For our first year Leeper's Lawn Service donated to the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church by Miami Middle School. In the second year, the donation was to Headwaters State Park.

In 1999 we chose the Boy Scouts of America Troop #44 of Waynedale because of their continued effort in helping the young people in our community. Two white flowering Crabs were donated and planted around the Boy Scouts sign at the corner of Ardmore and Lower Huntington Roads in Waynedale.

Arbor Day 2000

On Arbor Day, April 28, 2000, Leeper's Lawn Service donated and planted a Bradford Pear tree at the LeighAnn Palmer Memorial Park and Playground at the Avalon Pool in Waynedale (south of Fort Wayne).

The selection of the LeighAnn Palmer Memorial Park and Playground coincide with its completion earlier this year. The dedication of this park and playground occurred Saturday, June 24th with over 200 people in attendance.

This park and playground at Avalon Pool was constructed through many persons and companies efforts, both monetary and personally. It was built to honor the memory of LeighAnn Palmer who tragically drowned at the pool seven years ago. Her parents, Mike and Lisa Palmer and friends John and Barb Encoff have worked diligently over the past several years to make this park and playground possible.

Cory Leeper, Jeff Hoehn and the Leeper's Lawn Service staff are very honored to be a small part of the park and playground completion.
